Un cazorleño "ha ganado" la final de la Imagine Cup España 2007.
Un cazorleño junto a otros dos compañeros de la Universidad de Granada han ganado la final de la Imagine Cup España 2007 y desde el 5 al 11 de agosto están representando a España en la final mundial que se celebra en Seul (Corea del Sur), para representar a la Universidad de Granada defendiendo el proyecto Scout que facilita la vida a niños autistas y con problemas de comunicación. La final del concurso cuenta con tres premios de 25.000, 15,000 y 10.000 euros que los jóvenes de la UGR lucharán para traerse a casa. La cuarta edición española del concurso internacional de tecnología organizado por Microsoft finalizó el día 12 de Abril en Sevilla, con la Final en la que los mejores equipos españoles presentaron sus proyectos.
Imagina un mundo donde la tecnología facilite el acceso a la educación a todo el mundo...
Este es el lema de Imagine Cup 2007, la competición de tecnología para estudiantes universitarios creada para premiar la inspiración en innovación tecnológica. Con fantásticos premios, incluyendo la participación en la final internacional en Corea para el equipo ganador.
Los participantes han sido estudiantes universitarios españoles con inquietud por la tecnología y en particular por el desarrollo de aplicaciones innovadoras y creativas.
El ganador presentará en la final Internacional un proyecto en el que se utiliza el entorno de desarrollo Visual Studio, Servicios Web, y se ajusta al lema de este año.

Spanish authorities have prosecuted a child for terrorism! Incredible but true!
14-year-old Èric Bertran e-mailed companies requesting labeling in
Catalan language, using the "Phoenix" monicker from the Harry Potter
books. The Spanish police accused him of organizing an Al Qaeda cell.
The authorities took him all the way to the Spanish High Court.
From August 27 to September 2, we're getting the word out, through
blogs, press releases, and other media. Here's the idea: We want this
film about the Èric Bertran case to be seen as many times as possible
from September 3rd to 9th, so that it ends up ranking in the "most
watched" circuit.
Through this coordinated effort, with the help of new communications
and information technologies, we hope to get some international
coverage of this case, and the true deficit of democracy in the
Spanish State, as well as the fact that the Catalan people are now
demanding their right to define themselves as a sovereign nation.
